We go out fun diving every single day, seven days a week, all year. It’ll take some incredibly bad weather to keep us out of the water! We’re lucky here on Koh Tao because if the conditions are unfavorable on one side of the island, we just head to the other side of the island and enjoy the protected conditions there.

With the island being nestled in the Gulf of Thailand, we enjoy low swells, mild currents and great visibility almost all year round. Water temperatures range from between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius, which makes fun diving incredibly comfortable.

There are many dive sites around Koh Tao to choose from and each one has their own unique advantages and points of interest. Dive sites range from shallow sites with colorful and vibrant coral reefs, gorgeous fish species, and sea turtles, to deep pinnacle sites hosting an array of large pelagic species like whale sharks. No matter which site you go to, you’ll swim away with great memories of fun diving on Koh Tao!

Each dive site is located no more than 50 minutes from the dive shop and each trip out you will experience two incredible dives.

A buddy team runs through pre-dive safety checks before fun diving

Big Blue has been fun diving on Koh Tao for ages and our experienced divemaster team knows the dive sites around Koh Tao like the back of their hands. All of our divemaster’s were trained here at Big Blue to our high safety standards. There simply is no better team to take you out diving and show you the local marine life we enjoy in the waters around Koh Tao.
