Embark on our Sail Rock Full Day Trips every 3 days, unveiling a whole new dimension of Koh Tao’s underwater beauty. Positioned strategically between Koh Tao and Koh Phangan, this site boasts an extraordinary diversity of marine life, featuring schools of barracuda, batfish, snapper, trevally, and queenfish. The rock itself is adorned with mesmerizing hard coral, creating an enchanting backdrop for encounters with smaller marine wonders. The highlight? Spotting the majestic whale sharks, frequent visitors to this feeding hotspot.

Sail Rock, soaring 15 meters above water, offers a dive site with depths exceeding 40 meters. As the rock descends to the sandy banks below 20 meters, it creates a unique habitat for marine life. Surrounded by submerged rocks, providing ample hiding spots for captivating creatures, this underwater haven guarantees an unforgettable scuba diving experience. As well as being able to dive next to the rock wall, divers can also go inside the rock if they’re feeling more adventurous. Sail Rock boasts a ‘chimney’ feature, There is a vertical swim through that allows you to swim down into the rock from 5 meters, and exit the rock at the bottom, around 18 meters.

Because Sail Rock itself protrudes from the water, the dive site can be enjoyed at any depth. It’s a wonderful site for anyone from a newly certified Open Water diver, Divemaster, or even Master Instructor.

Here is the basic schedule for our Sail Rock Day Trips.

06.30 – Meet your divemaster at our dive center.

07:00 – Leave shore and start relaxing on the boat. Have a coffee or a nap. It’s up to you.

07:30 – Cooked breakfast served.

10:00 – Arrive at Sail Rock for the first dive.

11:00 – First surface interval.

12:00 – Second dive at Sail Rock.

13:00 – Thai buffet lunch served.

14:00 – Arrive at the second deep dive site for the third dive of the day (usually on a local site)

16:30 – Arrive back at Big Blue Diving to log your dives and enjoy a well-deserved drink!

Don’t forget! Because of the extra nitrogen your body builds up while scuba diving, you cannot fly within 24hrs of your last dive.
